TEDxFondduLac Announces 2020 Event Date, Shares Major Milestone

With the success of three events under their belts, TEDxFondduLac will return for its fourth event on Saturday, August 15, 2020 once again in Downtown Fond du Lac at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts. The full-day event will take “ideas worth spreading” from the Fond du Lac area community and beyond and spread them into the world for all to learn from and engage with.

Additionally, the all-volunteer team behind the successful event series is proud to announce a major milestone. Over the course of three events, 44 speakers have presented their ideas on the TEDxFondduLac stage and those ideas have been viewed over three million times. License holder Sarah Spang adds this is a “big deal” for an event of its size and thanks the entire team for their support in making it happen. “Everyone on this team is providing their support to the speakers on their own time, including our speaker coaches who work for months to help craft amazing messages,” she continues. “Seeing our views reach such a high number in such a short time for a TEDx event truly shows the commitment we all have to providing a great experience for those listening in the room and those watching around the world after the event.”

The 2020 event will be looking for speakers at the end of 2019 with an official call for any and all applicants, including those within and outside of Fond du Lac. Those interested in sharing their idea on the TEDxFondduLac stage should sign up for updates through tedxfonddulac.com or by staying in touch through its Facebook page for the announcement.

A TEDx event is organized independently of any other event, organization, or other affiliation in the spirit of TED conferences (Technology, Entertainment, and Design). This volunteer-driven initiative, operated under a license granted by the TED organization, will combine live speakers and official TED videos, as well as an interactive environment, to challenge the thinking of all those who attend.
